I’m a writer, blogger, and a teacher working with the most amazing kids! My life is unlike any other and that is what makes it so exciting to share! I have been physically disabled since birth and have known no other way to live except with leg braces on both legs, a wheelchair as a personal escort everywhere, and surgical scars and memories only few have known.
For twenty-five years I’ve wobbled walked/wheeled through life with ups and downs and trying to figure out how life is going when you don’t seem to fit the “normal” mold and lifestyle that everyone else seems to live. Life was not supposed to happen for me and my journey has never stopped throwing curve balls, and to this day embracing it is challenging! To embrace who you are is one thing, but more importantly it’s important to understand whose you are and what you are called to be and do.
My heart is to inspire young girls and young women to embrace the journey you are on, but not just any journey… The journey of finding who God is to you and how He fits into your daily life. The journey is different for everyone but the one thing we all carry is a “disability.” It doesn’t have to be physical, but we all carry scars whether we know it or not.
