Limited Edition

in Heartfelt Writings on 11/07/24

Have you ever wanted something limited edition? It could be the limited edition Standley cup in the most beautiful shade of gold, which is only out this year, or a pair of Nike shoes that will never be made again if you don’t get them! I like watching what people will wait in line for on Black Friday, which is coming up, but it’s even more intense because we can do it online and stay in an actual line at a store and see if we are the lucky one who gets this new item. Honestly, I don’t have enough passion to wait for something exclusive, but the title made me start thinking about how God created us and the people around us.

Studies have shown that the average person knows around 611 people in their lifetime, but the median is 472. Studies have also found that people will make around 29 real friends in their lifetime, but only six of them last. I think it is wild that I’ve met so many people in my lifetime and have some memories of some but not others because someone impacted me and made my experience with them a limited edition! No one can be everywhere and know everyone it’s impossible, but the people we interact with on a daily whether it be at work, school, church, pickleball, or at a movie theater, not everyone will meet that individual, and when thinking about that it made me think and feel so seen and known by my heavenly father.

God knows exactly who I need in my life and how the people and friends I connect with will impact each other. The people I am friends with are one of a kind and a part of my life for this season’s special purpose. They may be a lifelong friend I may one day have at my wedding as a bridesmaid or someone who was supposed to encourage and support me when I knew them and vice versa for me to be that for them possibly. However, God designed it, and I am so grateful for the people who have spoken into my life in the present and the future because they have shaped who I am today.

When it came to my medical care, God knew who I needed while in pediatric care. Someone who could help my body adjust to the many changes it was going through, but I still remember that I was a young and nervous girl who wanted to feel normal, and so God brought some fantastic nurses to help me process. I most likely will never see them again, but my limited time with them is still something I will remember sharing with others during that part of my story. I am now in an adult hospital and receiving different care. Still, I think of how I can be someone they will remember, not because I was a patient of theirs but because our time was particular and we received from each other instead of being a typical patient who could be one of many faces they see and required to take care of.

We have been placed in such a time as this, and as you continue to make connections and interact with people, think about how this could be a limited-edition moment that could truly change someone’s life. Be mindful and tune into your surroundings, and be aware that your smile, kindness, and awareness could be out there for someone who truly needs to know they are seen, heard, and loved by a loving God.

Sometimes we feel like we are the last ones to get somewhere or to see growth in our lives, but are you seeing the beauty in the season of growth? “Every Flower Must Grow Through Dirt.” (Laurie Jean Sennett)
Don’t just see my legs not running;⠀ Don’t j Don’t just see my legs not running;⠀
Don’t just see my hands not writing;
Don’t just see my mouth not talking;⠀
these broken pieces are not me.⠀
⠀
See instead the light in my eyes;⠀
See instead the loving soul;⠀
See instead my thinking mind;⠀
These inner pieces are the real me.⠀

Quote: Joe Bishop
Find Joy in the Ordinary. Find Joy in the Ordinary.
Late Bloomers... ⠀ The average flower takes abou Late Bloomers...
⠀
The average flower takes about seven weeks to propagate from a seed to a sprout, and then into an actual flower and I addition to that it takes about another two weeks for it to bloom to actually become alive and produce a pedal and show its full beauty. So depending on how it takes about nine weeks to fully show all of the colors and fragrances to us, and that would be around two months! And we think that waiting a week is a long time to see things in our life change. ⠀
⠀
Each stage and season of life comes with it’s long and challenging stages, but let’s not forget that the slow and steady make it longer across the race of life. When you feel like you are not moving on where you have been stuck in the same place try these three things and reflect on how it has changed your perspective. ⠀

Change Your Pace ⠀
Change Your Structure ⠀
Change Your Growth Pattern⠀

To Be Continued...
Spring is here and the fields are turning green an Spring is here and the fields are turning green and flowers are beginning to bud. But this year it feels so much more rich and magical especially after last year... but how many of us feel like it’s taken forever to get here? ⠀
⠀
Sometimes we feel in our lives that we are “late to bloom” and we feel like everyone’s life is springing forward but ours. ⠀
⠀
What’s taking so long? ⠀
To be continued... ⠀

What does a New Year mean to you? Is it a sign of What does a New Year mean to you? Is it a sign of relief because you’ve finished that one thing or is it a deep breath because you don’t know what’s next now that you’ve finished?
It’s October... 🍂⠀ When I turn my calendar It’s October... 🍂⠀
When I turn my calendar to October first I immediately begin to look more closely at God’s creation. The evenings turn into dark sparkly nights, the air feels crisp and has a hint of chill, and my favorite part is the leaves changing into enchanting colors of orange, yellow, and purple.⠀
⠀
I’ve been Captivated by His beauty. ⠀
⠀
God wants to captivate us when we spend time with Him and in our daily routine. As seasons in our lives change He wants to captivate those moments to show us something we could not see or notice on our own. ⠀
⠀
What captivates you? ⠀
⠀
Looking at the autumn leaves has me reflect and realize that God makes beauty out of ashes, and that when we see something transitioning (falling away) we can remember that although it was for a season that God will captivate our hearts again. ⠀

• Two Yellow Lines ⠀
• Three Continuous Circling Questions⠀
⠀
We all are on a journey, but what is guiding you? ⠀
What do you carry and bring with you?⠀
When you think of what’s next do you question that path your on?⠀
⠀
All these questions are very real right now in this unknown season, but all these questions need to lead back to one person. Jesus is with you, for you, and will always be beside you. Now, it’s our turn to trust in the path He has placed us on. Do you trust Him when you cannot see?
